 Fully funded and partially funded hearing aids with the Australian Government Hearing Services Program

  1. Enhance Hearing will check your eligibility for fully funded hearing aids and services through the Australian Government Hearing Services Program (HSP).
  2. Eligibility criteria applies.
  3. Conditions apply to clients under the Australian Government Hearing Services Program.
  4. Enhance Hearing will always offer a fully funded hearing aid solution under the HSP funded hearing aids.
  5. HSP clients can purchase a maintenance plan which will not exceed $50.40  which  will cover the cost of batter­ies, earmold renewals, repairs, ear-hook replacements, adjustments & re-programming (if required), replace­ment of tubing, wax guards, and cords of the hearing aids.
  1. HSP clients can also choose to partially fund their hearing aids where they have qualified for a subsidy through HSP program. They may then choose to purchase hearing aids outside of the ‘free to client’ category.
  2. If you choose to go ahead with partially funded hearing aid solution, the balance payment will be payable at the time of hearing aid fitting appointment.


 Home visit appointments – available in most areas

  • Home Visit appointments will be available only at selected suburbs.
  • Conditions apply under the Australian Government Hearing Services Program.
  • Home Visit appointments are available for everyone 18 years and over who meet the health & safety criteria and subject to any government ban or restriction on visits which may apply, including, but not limited to, visits to aged care facilities.
  • Home Visit appointment costs are to be paid in full the day before the Home Visit appointment.
  • Home Visit appointments costs are as follows:
  • Private customers is $75 ($50 appointment & $25 travel);
  • DVA & OHS customer $25 (fully funded appointment);
  • DVA & OHS customers who have a Doctor’s Letter or reside in a nursing home will not incur any additional costs towards home visits
  • Work Cover customers will also receive this appointment at no cost to the customer.
  • Home Visit appointment fees are eligible to be used as a discount on any hearing aid purchase at Enhance Hearing. The credit will remain on the client record until used.
  • Enhance Hearing may choose to waive this fee at its own discretion


Hearing Test free of charge (also known as a screening or hearing check):

  • Enhance offers hearing tests free of charge to everyone 18 years and over.
  • This is a basic screening check to determine if hearing loss is present.
  • Based on the hearing check results , we may recommend an advanced hearing assessment. Clients eligible for full or partial reimbursement under the Australian Government Hearing Services Program will be funded for this advanced hearing assessment appointment so there is no cost to the client. Conditions apply to clients under the Austra­lian Government Hearing Services Program.


Advanced Hearing Assessment (also known as a Comprehensive Hearing Assessment) at no cost to you:

  • Enhance Hearing offers advanced hearing assessment free of charge for select custom­ers.
  • Clients eligible for full or partial reimbursement under the Australian Government Hearing Services Program will be funded the appointment so there is no cost to the client. Conditions apply to clients under the Austra­lian Government Hearing Services Program.
  • Customers must be 18 years and older to be eligible for this offer.


30-day money-back guarantee

  • Hearing aids may be exchanged for other products (of the same or lesser value), or may be returned for a re­fund, within 30 days of purchase.
  • Enhance Hearing reserves the right to refuse to exchange or refund hearing aids where the hearing aid (including its parts) have not been returned or have been damaged or lost.
  • Any refund paid will be the amount paid by the client only, which will not include any discounts or funders’ contributions (e.g. Australian Government Hearing Services Program Department of Veterans’ Affairs, Work Cover or Insurance contributions).
  • Enhance Hearing may discount the consultation fee paid by self-funded customers from the cost of hearing aids but this may be deducted from the final refund

Enhance may choose to price match hearing devices based on a formal quote of the same product based on the following criteria

  • must be shown within 30 days.
  • Quote must be from an Australian retailer.
  • Online quotes do not qualify.
